I have a question about whether or not the "Rapture" is Pre or Post-Tribulation. From what I've read, after John saw the mighty angel come to earth and stand with one foot on the Sea and one foot on the Land, John saw the two witnesses prophesy in the land figuratively called Sodom or Egypt - a land that contains a people who sin and rebel against God. Then John saw, the two witness get murdered, and after three and half days, John saw God breathe life back into their bodies, and they stood and were raised. So, my question is this - If the two witnesses are the true Body of Christ who represent the Smyrna and Philadelphia Church, then is this what is called the Rapture? This rapture takes place before the Seventh Trumpet is blown, and when the seventh trumpet is blown, loud voices in heaven declare that the world is now the Kingdom of the Lord and Christ will reign forever and ever. It appears to me that God’s people will be on the earth, while Jesus opens the seven seals from the scroll that sits in the right hand of God. And it appears God’s people will still be around while the angels blow the 6 trumpets that make a great sound. And then before the Seventh trumpet is blown, there is a resurrection and ascension of the two witnesses - the faithful and true testimony of Christ - the two olive trees and the and lamp stands that stand before the throne room of God. It appears this is the event that represents the first rapture of the Body of Christ, this is when the dead come to life and raise up to heaven. This happens before God's Day of Judgment comes. It happens before the Temple of God in heaven is opened and the Ark of his covenant is seen inside the Temple. For some reason, Jesus also showed John the ancient serpent, who has been the ruler of this World. John also saw the woman give birth to the Seed that that was promised in Genesis 3:15. John saw the dragon try to snatch the child away, but watched God take him up into His Heavenly Throne. John saw the woman run for her life, the dragon was super angry and he wanted to kill her. John watched God provide a hiding place for her in the wilderness where He would care for her for 1,260 days (3 and a half months). Revelation 12:6 John was given eyes to see a great war in Heaven, between the demonic army of Satan and the angelic army of God. John saw the dragon lose the battle and watched him and his angels be forced out of heaven. Revelation 12:7-8 John saw the dragon (Satan) pursue the woman (Israel) who had given birth to the male child (Jesus). Israel was given two wings like those of a great eagle so she could fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness. Israel was protected from Satan for a time, times, and half a time (3 and a half years). Revelation 12:13-14 Satan was so angry at the woman that he declared war against the rest of her children - all who keep God’s commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus. John then saw two beasts - one coming out of the Sea and one coming out of the Earth. The fist beast is known as the Antichrist, the one who is allowed to speak great blasphemies against God; the one who will be given authority to do whatever he wants for forty-two months (3 and a half years). Revelation 13:5 The scripture says that the Antichrist will be allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and will be given authority to rule over them. He will be given authority over the whole world - and there will be many people who worship this man. John said, “They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made.” Then John says, Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must patiently endure persecution and remain faithful. Revelation 13:7-10 So, once again, is the rapture pre or post tribulation? John said when the Antichrist and his prophet come, they will attack the people of God and God’s children will be imprisoned and die by the Sword. This means there will be a remnant, children of God who keep God's Word alive. John saw the Lamb of God standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.” Revelation 14:1 These 144,000 messianic Jews are direct descendants from the 12 tribes of Israel and they kept themselves as pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. These Israelites are very special - they were purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb. They have told no lies; they are without blame.” Revelation 14:4-5 Tomorrow I will move on to the Coming of the Lord! What a great and terrible day that will be!
