Before going on
to the next passage in Chapter 15, I have to go back and reprocess what John said in Chapter 14 - and even before! It sounds to me like 144,000 Jews, who come straight out Israel’s sons (two from Joseph, with the exclusion of Dan) will honor the Law of Moses, give testimony to Christ and be martyred. But this will only happen after Jerusalem is trampled for 42 months. For 42 months, or 1,260 days, or 3 and a half years (all equal the same amount of time) God will give power to His two witnesses, which I believe to be exactly what the scripture says, “the two lamp-stands” who have nothing against them. The two lampstands are described as the two churches without blemish in the Book of Revelation. The Church, the pure Body of Christ that stands without blemish, will obey Gods law as the way to persevere - and they will lay down their life and choose to suffer as they sacrifice themselves following in the footsteps of Christ. These two prophets are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of all the earth. At the end of their testimony, at God’s appointed time, Satan will come up from his bottomless pit, and wage war against them. Scripture says the Antichrist will conquer and kill them for 42 months, or 1260 days, or 3 and a half years - (which equals the same amount of time). It will appear as if their bodies and spirits are dead; the people who belong to this world will gloat over them and give presents to each other to celebrate the death of the two prophets who had tormented them. But after three and a half days from the day they are killed - God will breathe life into them, and they will rise up and stand. Just like Christ, their bodies will be resurrected. Just like Christ, they will return from the dead. Terror will strike those who look upon them, and they will hear a loud voice from heaven tell them to ascend. People will watch as the two witnesses of God, the lamp-stand churches who are Christ’s perfect reflection, ascend into Heaven. At this time, some people will gain a healthy fear of the Lord and be terrified by His presence. They will turn from their evil ways and give glory to the God of heaven. Revelation 11:13 By the way - I LOVE how God always leaves a remnant! Then, after the rapture of God’s people, war will break out in Heaven, which will also be carried out on earth. The Antichrist will rise from the Sea, the His prophet will point people to him. People across the globe will be subject to his dictatorship rule. They will not be allowed to participate in the world’s economy without putting on the mark of the beast. The beast will be allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And will be given authority to do whatever he wants for forty-two months, 1260 days, or three and a half years (which equals the same amount of time). Notice the Great Tribulation equals 7 full years - 3.5 during great prophecy and 3.5 after the rising of the beast. The Antichrist will speak terrible words against God, slandering His name and those who dwell in heaven. God will allow the Antichrist to wage war against Israel, and he will be allowed to conquer them. As a result, people across the globe will begin to hate Israel. And at the same time, Israel will return to their home. Scripture says, These followers of Satan are not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made. Revelation 13:8 This mean that some people are created by God who do not have an eternal life with Him in the New Jerusalem. It means God is sovereign! Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful even to the point of death. Revelation 13:10 There are some wars we are not meant to fight. Instead of kicking and screaming, we are called to remain still, seek God and speak the God's Honest Truth! Jesus and His special possession, the 144,000 messianic Jews will stand victoriously on Mount Zion. At the end of 7 years, Babylon will fall, the Antichrist will be brought down - but it will come with a price. “Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!” Revelation 14:13 Jesus will come and swing his mighty sword, and blood will be shed everywhere across the globe! It will be like the days of Noah. But instead of a water flood, we will drown in the blood. “The grapes were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress in a stream about 180 miles long and as high as a horse’s bridle.” Revelation 14:20 And right before God pours out His bowls of deadly plagues, a sea of people will stand in Heaven, on the altar of God, and sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb. “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.” Revelation 15:3-4 Why the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb? Could this event be related to the exodus? Does the Revelation given by God to Jesus to share with the Apostle John, explain the true mysteries of God? Does this Revelation tell us how we will be redeemed? Does the Revelation explain how God breaks the satanic stronghold which frees us from his bondage? Does the Revelation walk us through the wilderness and bring us to God’s Holy Mountain? Does the Revelation show us what God’s purpose has been all along? Is there a promised land? A land free from demonic activity and captivity - A land that flows with milk and honey? The more I read the more I understand. God has always had a redemption plan! Thank you, Jesus, for this eagle view's understanding.
