On the Lord’s Day while the Apostle John was in the Spirit, he heard from behind him a loud voice like a trumpet. The trumpeted voice told him to write on a scroll the things he would see, then to send the scroll to seven specific churches across the sea. The churches the voice mentioned were actually Christians who lived in the regions of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.
When John turned around to see the trumpeting voice that was speaking to him, he saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands stood someone like a son of man who was dressed in a robe. When John saw the Being, he fell at his feet as though he was dead. The One who looked like the Son of Man placed his right hand on him and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” Revelation 1:17-18 After John saw Jesus and heard the words of the Lord to send to the Church, a door suddenly appeared that stood between this world and the next. Then John heard a voice that said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” In an instant, John was in the Spirit, and there before him stood the throne room of God. This is where I need to stop. Before I can move forward in Revelation 4, I need to share the vision of the door that I saw in November of 2016. The poem is called “The Boardwalk Vision” and I translated it from my notebook to my blog on April 2, 2020. In the vision the Lord rescued me from a swamp. He lifted me up from a dark pit, then He placed me on a boardwalk where He rebuilt my strength. As I walked down the boardwalk with the Lord at my side, my strength slowly began to build back up. The Lord led me down the boardwalk to a tent door, and at the door He suddenly stopped. Jesus took His right hand and pulled back the veil, and immediately I was transitioned from this world to the next. It’s as if time did not exist, and all of a sudden I turned into light. I actually became a star. I was a star as small as could be, and millions of stars existed with me. In the center of the stars was the brightest and biggest Light I had ever seen, and immediately I knew it was the Light of God. All I could experience was a total peace. Everything around me was totally serene. I could have stayed content for the rest of eternity, but the Lord had something else up His sleeve. All of a sudden, I was back on the boardwalk all by myself, but I was not afraid because I had been given strength. I was ready for battle and I was made super strong - the Lord returned me to this world different than I was. I literally went from Raggedy Ann to a Warrior for God. In my hand was a giant sword, and I was dressed in the Armor of God. This was the day that everything changed. I was broken, but no longer afraid. I knew in my heart that everything was going to be okay. Brothers and sisters in Christ - There is a door that stands between humanity and God, and only Jesus holds the key. For some reason God gave me a small peek at what it will be like to live with Him eternally. It was quite an overwhelming feeling. I pray these poems reflect the Light of God, and that the Sword of the Spirit divides spirit from soul, and joints from marrow and bones. We must remember that “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:12-13
