From the eyes of Jan, A Maid of Honor, A head bridesmaid for the Church. The time is alive with celebration. There are many pre-marriage events to plan. Today we will go window shopping, and slip inside to see what wedding dress is available in your style, size and color. Wait...WHITE is the color it must be. It is the color your groom will be looking for. Purified by his crimson blood that makes your sin whiter than snow. Whiter than the wool upon his head that transcends even the Bethlehem star. Oh precious bride to be, the Lord is looking forward to his wedding day. All he does is wait patiently, longing to embrace his future wife who will be wrapped in full faith, wearing her perfectly made wedding dress. Can you imagine what his eyes will see, and how his heart will feel, when you enter the room wearing your beautiful wedding gown? His eyes will certainly be set ablaze by your purity. A virgin bride for all the world to see. You will gracefully move down the aisle like a gazelle, perfectly aligned from head to toe. The Body of Christ will be majestic. Breathtaking, and burning to worship the One True God. No eye will be able to turn away when they see the Bride of Christ. Every eye will fixate on how much she reflects God’s abundant mercy and grace. Oh Beautiful bride to be, Do not try to buy a 2nd hand dress. Do not try to save money. When we walk in to purchase your wedding dress, remember the cost that Jesus paid for you. Do not scrape. Do not skim. Do not invest the least into this glorious event. You were redeemed by God himself, who came to earth, fully God and fully human, to save you from experiencing an eternal death! He put his Seed inside of you, and vowed to send His Spirit to comfort and guide you. He never forsake you! He never left you! He came. He gave. He impregnated and anointed. He set you apart for himself! Remember the curse we are under! The seed of Adam is death, but the second Adam, Jesus Christ, Our God made flesh, reversed the curse and gives everlasting life. Oh, Wife to be, how he redeemed you with a precious price. Our Lord and Savior would never accept anything less than a heart that’s been purified by his blood. So as you consider your dress, think on Philippians 4 verse 8. “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Verily I tell you, there is nothing more true and honorable, pure and lovely, commendable and excellent, and worthy of all praise, than Jesus. Hear this - You must make certain that you are ready when the Day of the Lord comes. Your wick must be trimmed, and oil must be in your lamp. You must present yourself as flawless without wrinkle; as spotless without blemish. Your inner spirit must be adorned with abundant spiritual fruit; these are the precious jewels that shine the truth of Christ into a dark world. The Lord says, “You will know me by my fruit, and I will know you by what comes out of your heart.” For it is the meek who shall inherit the earth, because they represent a true and tender and thankful heart. PREPARE! I say... Prepare! The Day of the Lord is near! Let us look for your wedding dress, one has been specially designed for you. Prepare! I say...prepare! Your wedding day is near. Cloth yourself in abundant faith. I can hear the BRIDEGROOM IS GETTING READY too.
