Are you facing giants?
Are you feeling frantic and afraid?
Does it feel like there is no way out,
like you will never see the light of day?
Does it feel there is no chance in hell you will win,
like you will forever be in the pit of sin?
Are you entangled and dismayed?
Beaten and in despair?
Pulled down by the weeds in the swamp,
caught in the enemy's snare?
Does it feel like the rope has run out?
Does it feel like taking your life is the only way out?
Does the thought of giving in seem like a better choice
than constantly fighting the darkness your in?
What if there was another way?
Would you be willing to rest in the decay
for just a little while?
Instead of trying harder to live,
could you put your trust in HIM?
Could you stop and see his sovereignty?
Could you stop and see there may be another way to be,
there could be another way out?
Could you give him full control to lead,
and rely on faith instead of doubt?
If you could stop moving your feet
from digging the pit deeper than deep;
If you could stop cupping your hands
from digging the dirt,
frantically trying to get out;
If you could stop your thoughts from thrashing about,
perhaps you could hear the Lord whispering,
"Hey, there is another way out."
"Be still and know I am God",
this is the scripture everyone has tried to sell you,
but you wonder, "How can it be when all I feel is anxiety?"
The Lord of Lords says,
"REST IN ME"
I have come to thee.
"REST IN ME"
I have come to set you free.
"I have eyes to see the vile of shit your sitting in.
I see the filth of all your sin. I see the filth of all of men.
I see the guilt that pulls you down.
I see the shame that binds you.
I see the lies of the enemy,
the counterfeit creation of me."
"I want you to know, there is a quicksand of sickness in your soul."
"I see the state you're in. It's been that way since the fall of man."
"Are you ready for me to set you free?"
"Are you ready to believe what I'm about to say?"
"Are you ready to repent for the sin that you are currently sitting in?"
"Are you ready to tear down the idols that are in your heart?"
"Are you ready to depart from the statutes of men that have kept us apart?"
"Are you ready to believe that I have already died for thee?
"Are you ready to believe that I have already set you free?"
"Will you take down your crucifix that is firmly attached to your wall?"
"Will you believe that I am no longer on the cross, that I died and rose again?"
"Will you believe I sit on the throne, at the Father's right hand?"
"Will you believe you do not have to put your hope in a man?'
"Do you believe I shed my blood for the forgiveness of your sin?"
"Do you believe I went to hell so that I could redeem you from your death?"
"Do you believe I rose from the dead and resurrected myself unto men?"
"Do you believe I was taken to heaven, to free you from the burdens of men?
"Do you believe that when you repent for your sin, you will be with me again?"
"Are you ready to shed the lies that bind you?"
"Are you ready to be set free?"
"Are you ready to testify that I have risen indeed?"
"Are you ready to acknowledge that I did it for you, and not for me?"
"Are you ready to put your faith in me?"
"Are you ready to put on my yoke, and let me take the reins?"
"Do you know your not alone in that hole?"
"Why are you trying to run away?"
"Do you know that deep calls to deep?"
"In the darkness is when people seek."
"Some will give up hope and never take hold of my rope."
"Some will see my light, but be clouded by a haze."
"Others will see my light and stare into my gaze."
"Intimacy is what I long for, in the hearts of my men."
"Intimacy is what I require, to help my bride stand again."
The Lords says,
"Stop thrashing about, and sit with me instead."
"Open up my word, and let me speak to you."
"Meditate on me, and give me your ear."
"Attune your ear to me, and I will tell you what you need to hear."
"REST IN ME"
"I WILL GIVE YOU THE PEACE YOU NEED."
"Take a deep breath, and step into my hand."
"Sit down and sleep, and I will lift you to my land."
"My Kingdom will come, I will bring heaven to earth."
"When you rest in me, I will lift you from the dirt."
